  • Anise Vodka 3 tablespoons
  • Powdered Sugar 5 oz
  • Apple 8 pieces
  • Milk 10 fl oz
  • Egg white 4 pieces
  • Wheat Flour 10 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Dry yeast 0 oz
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Slice the peeled apples into rings and remove the seeds.

Step 2

Mix the anise liqueur with sugar and add the apple rings. Let sit for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Beat the eggs with the milk. Add the flour, yeast, and salt. Mix and let sit for 1 hour.

Step 4

Coat the apple rings in flour, then dip them into the batter.

Step 5

In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil to 355°F. Fry the apples in batches for 1 minute until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove the donuts from the oil and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Step 6

Sprinkle the finished donuts with powdered sugar and serve warm.
