Apple Crepe Pie
Ingredients
- Thin Crepes 9 pieces
- Green Apples 6 pieces
- Vanilla salt 3 tablespoons
- Ground Cinnamon 0 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Cream 22% 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Make the crepes. I usually use a kefir crepe recipe.
Step 2
For the filling: wash, peel, and cut the apples into large cubes.
Step 3
In a deep skillet, melt the butter, add the apples, add 1/3 cup of water, and simmer for 10 minutes with a lid.
Step 4
Add the sugar, cinnamon, and cream, and simmer for another 10 minutes. The apples should become soft, like a puree.
Step 5
Line the bottom of a baking dish with crepes, allowing the edges to hang over. This takes about 4–5 crepes.
Step 6
Spread half of the cooled filling on top. Place another 3 crepes on top to cover the filling. You can cut the crepes if needed.
Step 7
Add the remaining filling and fold the overhanging crepes over it. If the edges do not completely cover the filling, you can place another crepe on top.
Step 8
Refrigerate overnight.
