Apple-Cottage Cheese Roll
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 20 oz
- Cottage cheese 5 oz
- Margarine 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Milk ½ cup
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Honey 2 tablespoons
- Apple 2 pieces
- Pistachios to taste
- Cinnamon to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve. Add melted margarine, sugar, baking powder, milk, and flour. Knead the dough.
Step 2
Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes. Mix them with nuts, honey, and cinnamon. Let sit for 20 minutes to allow the apples to release their juice.
Step 3
Roll out the dough into a sheet and spread the prepared filling over the entire dough. I divide the dough into 2 parts — this makes it easier to roll. Brush the top with a raw egg and sprinkle with brown sugar.
Step 4
Bake the roll in a preheated oven at 355°F for 45–50 minutes.
Step 5
The finished roll can be dusted with powdered sugar.
