Description

The total calorie content of the charlotte is 1840 kcal, and one serving is 230 kcal. You can optionally add honey, cinnamon (or sprinkle it on the apples before pouring the batter), or chopped walnuts to the batter. If you don't want to use apples, feel free to use pears, apricots, peaches, plums, or your favorite berries! The flour can also be combined to taste.

Ingredients

  • Corn Flour ½ cup
  • All-purpose flour ½ cup
  • Eggs 4 pieces
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Apple 4 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Beat the eggs with a mixer until fluffy. While continuing to beat, gradually add the sugar. Beat until creamy and the sugar is completely dissolved.

Step 2

Gently fold in the sifted flour into the egg mixture using a tablespoon (mixing from top to bottom, not in circular motions, until the batter absorbs the flour).

Step 3

Wash the apples, dry them, remove the cores, and cut them into thin slices.

Step 4

Grease the baking dish with oil and lightly dust with flour if desired.

Step 5

Place the apple slices at the bottom of the dish and pour the batter on top.

Step 6

Bake the charlotte in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 40 minutes (if not fully baked, continue baking for another 15 minutes at 195°C (385°F)).

Step 7

Do not open the oven door while baking to prevent the charlotte from collapsing. The pie is ready when a light brown crust appears on top.
