Apple Berry Pie
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Ocean salt ½ teaspoon
- Butter 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Sugar 5 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Crabapples 4 pieces
- Ground Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
- Fresh Berries 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Set aside 30 grams of sugar and 20 grams of butter for topping.
Step 2
Peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into small pieces.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, milk, and eggs. Gradually add the flour mixture and stir.
Step 4
Grease a baking dish with butter. Pour the batter into the dish. Arrange the apples on top and press them into the batter. Add the berries (I used frozen blackberries and a bit of strawberries; blueberries would be even better) and gently press them in as well.
Step 5
Mix 2 tablespoons of sugar with 2 tablespoons of butter and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture over the pie.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 50 minutes.
