Apple and Honey Strudel
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 glasses
- Butter 0 oz
- Chicken Egg 3 pieces
- Sugar 4 spoons
- Breadcrumbs ½ glasses
- Apple 20 oz
- Ground Cinnamon ½ spoons
- Honey 2 spoons
- Salt ½ spoons
- Powdered Sugar 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whisk together 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. Add 1/4 cup of water and mix until the salt and sugar are dissolved.
Step 2
Sift the flour and pile it on the table, creating a well in the center. Place 50 g of softened butter into the well, add the egg mixture with water, and knead into a stiff dough. Let the dough rest.
Step 3
Roll out the dough into a thin rectangular sheet, brush it with butter, lay thinly sliced apples along one edge, and sprinkle with sugar mixed with ground cinnamon and breadcrumbs.
Step 4
Roll the dough with the filling into a log shape, place it seam-side down on a greased baking sheet. Brush the surface of the log with the remaining egg and bake for 25-30 minutes at 390°F.
Step 5
Make several holes in the finished roll and pour in melted honey. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, slice, and serve hot.
