American Vanilla Cinnamon Cookies (Snickerdoodles)
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 1 glass
- Vanilla extract ½ spoons
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Wheat Flour 1½ glasses
- Cream of tartar ¼ spoons
- Ground Cinnamon 1 tablespoon
- Activated Baking Soda ¼ spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with the sugar, reserving 2 tablespoons, until light and creamy. Then, add the egg and vanilla. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Gradually mix both mixtures together, stirring well.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon.
Step 3
Shape the dough into small balls, about 2.5–3 cm in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet after rolling them in a sugar and cinnamon mixture, making sure to leave about 5 cm of space between the cookies.
Step 4
Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.
