Almond Cookies with Cinnamon
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
- Water 2 tablespoons
- Egg white 1 piece
- Chopped almonds 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Cream the butter and flour together. Set aside 1 tablespoon of sugar, mix the rest with cinnamon, then with the flour. Add the yolk and water, and knead into a firm dough.
Step 2
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 1 cm, sprinkle with finely chopped almonds, then roll out again, pressing the nuts with the rolling pin, to a thickness of 0.5 cm. Cut the dough using a cookie cutter and transfer to a baking sheet. Lightly beat the egg white and brush it over the cookies, then sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
Step 3
Bake for 10–15 minutes until golden brown. Leave on a rack until completely cool.
