Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 1½ cups
- Salt ¼ teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda ¼ teaspoon
- Butter 5 oz
- Brown Sugar 1 cup
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Egg white 1 piece
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Using a mixer, beat the softened butter with the sugar until creamy, then add the egg and vanilla. Reduce the mixer speed and gradually incorporate the flour. Then add the whole nuts, mix well, and divide the dough into 2 parts. Roll each piece into a long log, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 4 hours or freeze for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 355°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 3
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and cut into pieces with a sharp knife. If the dough is difficult to cut, return it to the refrigerator for a while longer. Place the cookies on the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to a plate and cool.
