Airy Marble Cake
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 1 cup
- 10% cream 1 cup
- Vanillin 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour 1½ cups
- Liquid dark chocolate 0 oz
- Egg white 4 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 345°F. Grease the cake pans with butter and dust with flour.
Step 2
Beat the butter with sugar until light and fluffy, then add the cream and vanillin. Mix well.
Step 3
Sift the flour and baking powder together, then gradually add to the main mixture.
Step 4
Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks. Slowly fold into the main mixture, being careful not to deflate the egg whites.
Step 5
In a small bowl, pour 1/3 of the batter and mix with melted chocolate until smooth.
Step 6
Pour half of the white batter into the pan and smooth it out with a spatula. Pour in the chocolate batter and top with the remaining vanilla batter (do not mix yet). Now, use a knife to create a light pattern in the raw batter (S shape or zig-zag back and forth). But don’t overdo it, or the marble effect will be lost.
Step 7
Bake for about 35 minutes.
