  • Whole egg 2 pieces
  • Sugar 3 tablespoons
  • Vanilla salt 0 oz
  • Dry yeast 0 oz
  • Wheat Flour 10 oz
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Milk 5 fl oz
  • Powdered Sugar to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Pour milk into a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Sprinkle in the yeast, stir, cover with a napkin, and let sit for 10 minutes.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.

Step 3

Add the prepared mixture to the milk, sugar, and eggs. Mix with a spoon.

Step 4

When the dough becomes difficult to stir, add chopped butter. Knead the dough for 10 minutes. Transfer the dough to a clean bowl, cover with a napkin, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour 30 minutes, until it has doubled in size.

Step 5

Divide the dough into two parts. Roll out not too thin. Cut out circles (5 cm in diameter). Stack three circles of dough as shown in the picture. Roll them together, then cut in half — this will create 2 lace pieces. Repeat with the remaining dough.

Step 6

Line a muffin tin with parchment paper, arranging the lace not too tightly, as shown in the picture.

Step 7

Brush the buns with sweetened milk and let them rise in volume, bake for about 15–20 minutes in a preheated oven at 355°F. Dust with powdered sugar.
