Ingredients

  • Kefir 10 fl oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Sugar to taste
  • Salt a pinch
  • Wheat Flour 3 cups
  • Vegetable Oil to taste
  • Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
  • Powdered Sugar to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Combine kefir with the egg, sugar, and salt, and mix thoroughly.

Step 2

Now add the baking soda and vegetable oil to the mixture.

Step 3

Add the sifted flour and knead the dough. The dough should be smooth and not stick to your hands.

Step 4

Divide the dough into two parts, rolling each into a layer about 1 cm thick.

Step 5

Use a glass to cut out circles from the dough, making a hole in the center of each circle with a shot glass. Reuse the leftover dough to make more donuts.

Step 6

Pour enough oil into a heated skillet so that there is about 1 cm of oil in the pan.

Step 7

Place the donuts into the hot oil and fry on both sides over medium heat. Dust the hot donuts with powdered sugar!
