Airy Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 1¼ cups
- Baking Powder 1½ teaspoons
- Salt ¾ teaspoon
- Applesauce ½ cup
- Brown Sugar 1 cup
- Butter 0 oz
- Vanilla extract 1 tablespoon
- Mini Chocolate Chips 10 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3
Place the applesauce in a sieve and let it drain for 15 minutes. Transfer the drained mixture to a large bowl, add the sugar and softened butter. Beat with a mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and egg. Add the flour mixture and beat again on low speed. Stir in the chocolate chips with a spoon.
Step 4
Drop 1 tablespoon of dough onto a greased baking sheet, spaced 5 cm apart. Bake for 10 minutes until done and golden brown. Cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes until the cookies firm up, then transfer to a plate to cool.
