Recipe taken from the book by John Smith 'Armenian Cuisine' (1960).
Ingredients
- Tomatoes 5 oz
- Cucumbers 5 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers 0 oz
- Onion 0 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Vinegar essence to taste
- Cilantro to taste
- Fresh basil leaves to taste
- Parsley to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell pepper.
Step 2
Peel the cucumbers.
Step 3
Cut off the stem and remove the seeds from the bell pepper.
Step 4
Peel the onion.
Step 5
Slice the vegetables into rounds.
Step 6
Wash and finely chop the cilantro, basil, and parsley.
Step 7
Layer the vegetables in a salad bowl, alternating tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell pepper.
Step 8
Sprinkle with salt and ground pepper.
Step 9
Top with onion and drizzle with vinegar.
Step 10
Garnish with herbs.
