Watermelon Basil Lemonade
Ingredients
- Water 1 glass
- Sugar ¾ glasses
- Fresh basil leaves 1 glass
- Watermelon 8 glasses
- Meyer Lemon Juice ½ glasses
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine water and sugar, bring to a boil, and cook for 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and add the basil leaves. Let it steep for 1 hour, then strain through a sieve into a bowl.
Step 2
In a blender, puree the flesh of the watermelon until smooth. Strain through a sieve into a pitcher.
Step 3
Add the syrup and lemon juice. Chill and serve over ice.
