Warm Black Bean Salad with Rice

Ingredients

  • Long-Grain Rice 1 cup
  • Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Onion 1 head
  • Orange Bell Peppers ½ piece
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Orange Bell Peppers ½ piece
  • Vinegar essence 2 tablespoons
  • Canned Pork with Beans 30 oz
  • TABASCO® to taste
  • Dried Rosemary 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In boiling salted water, cook the rice until done. Drain and rinse under cold water. Transfer to a bowl.

Step 2

Meanwhile, chop the peppers into small cubes.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the finely chopped onion and peppers until soft. Then add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute. Add the beans, vinegar, and a few drops of TABASCO. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add to the rice, mix, add oregano, and season with salt and pepper.
