
Waldorf Salad with Tuna

Description
I like to chop the iceberg lettuce right into the salad — it adds even more lightness. You can also substitute the tuna with shrimp.
Ingredients
- Apple 4 pieces
- Celery stalk 6 pieces
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
- Canned tuna in its own juice 15 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
- Iceberg Lettuce 1 head
- Sour Cream 4 tablespoons
- Mayonnaise 6 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop the apples. First into quarters, then into small cubes. Place in a deep bowl and drizzle with lemon juice to prevent browning.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the sliced celery and chopped walnuts. Add to the apples.
Step 3
Remove the tuna from the can, flake it with a fork, and add it to the celery and walnuts.
Step 4
For the dressing, mix the mayonnaise and sour cream. Add salt to taste.
Step 5
When serving, place the salad on the leaves of iceberg lettuce.
