Toast with Raspberry Puree
Ingredients
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Sugar 0 oz
- Ground Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Raspberry Puree 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Semi-soft cream cheese 0 oz
- French Baguette 4 slices
- Butter 0 oz
- Powdered Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a bowl, whisk the eggs, then gradually pour in the milk while continuing to whisk. Add the vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon. Whisk everything well and set aside.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, mix the raspberry puree and cream cheese until smooth.
Step 3
Cut 4 slices of baguette, each 2 cm thick. Spread the raspberry-cheese mixture in the center of each slice, then cover with another slice and press them together well.
Step 4
Melt the butter over medium heat in a skillet. Dip the sandwich in the egg mixture so that it is fully coated. Fry in the butter on both sides until a nice golden crust forms. For garnish, you can sprinkle with a mixture of powdered sugar and cinnamon or nutmeg.
Step 5
Serve immediately.
