Who Fred Collins was is now a mystery, especially since sometimes he is referred to as Tom, John, or various other names. The recipe first appeared in the collection 'New Guide for the Hotel, Bar, Restaurant, Butler & Chef', published in London in 1885.

- Gingerbread-flavored syrup 0 fl oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 0 fl oz
- Lemon 1 piece
- Soda water 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour bourbon, liqueur, and syrup into a shaker filled with ice, then squeeze in the lemon juice. Shake well.
Step 2
Strain into a glass filled with ice. Add soda. Garnish the glass with a lemon wedge.
