Tea Lemonade

Ingredients

  • Water 5 qt
  • Lemon 3 pieces
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Rooibos Tea Bags 5 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Thoroughly wash the lemons. Peel the zest using a vegetable peeler or a fine grater.

Step 2

Pour 0.5 liters of water over the zest and bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes, then remove and let steep.

Step 3

Boil 2.5 liters of water and brew the tea. Use 5 bags of fruit or citrus tea. Let it steep for 10–15 minutes and remove the bags. Add sugar and stir until fully dissolved.

Step 4

Cut the lemons into four parts. Slice one part into rounds and add to the tea. Squeeze the juice from the remaining parts and add it to the tea.

Step 5

Strain the lemon zest infusion and add it to the tea. Mix well, cool down, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Step 6

Serve with ice.
