  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cook the bulgur in boiling salted water for ten minutes with the lid on. Add a piece of butter to the pot, turn off the heat, and let it sit for another five minutes.

Step 2

Finely chop the parsley, mint, and basil (just the leaves), and mix them with crushed garlic, roughly chopped tomatoes, olive oil, lemon juice, and finely chopped green or red pepper. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Mix the cooked bulgur with the herb and tomato salad, let it sit for five minutes, and serve as an appetizer.
