  • Swiss Chard 1 bunch
  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Shallots 2 heads
  • Minced garlic 2 cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Wine Vinegar 2 teaspoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Chop the stems of the Swiss chard into very small pieces. Tear the leaves into small pieces and wash them well (a little water can remain on the leaves).

Step 2

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the Swiss chard stems, shallots, garlic, and salt. Stirring constantly, cook the vegetables until they are soft but have not changed color, about 2 minutes. Then add the leaves, season with salt, and cook for another 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the leaves release a little liquid. Add the vinegar and a little more salt (to taste).
