Description
Sugar syrup keeps quite well. If crystals start to form during storage, the syrup should be reboiled, adding a small amount of water beforehand.
Ingredients
- Sugar 35 oz
- Water 25 fl oz
- Mild Chili Spice 2 pieces

Step 1
In a clean pot, pour in the sugar, add boiling water, place on the heat, bring to a boil, add the chopped peppers, and simmer on low heat until a clear syrup forms.
Step 2
Carefully skim off the foam that forms using a spoon.
Step 3
Strain the cooked sugar syrup through a sieve or cheesecloth into a container, let it cool, and pour into bottles.
