Sicilian Tuna Salad with Mint
Ingredients
- Penne rigate 5 oz
- Canned tuna in its own juice 5 oz
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Mint 1 bunch
- Tomatoes 10 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Olive Oil 8 tablespoons
- Ocean salt to taste
- Champagne Vinegar 2 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cook the penne pasta until al dente.
Step 2
Chop the garlic and mint leaves, and mix with the canned tuna.
Step 3
Make incisions on the tomatoes and dip them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Then peel the tomatoes, cut them, and remove the seeds. Chop the tomato flesh.
Step 4
Chop the onion and sauté it in olive oil. Combine the onion with the tomatoes.
Step 5
For the dressing, whisk together the olive oil and white wine vinegar. Add salt and pepper.
Step 6
Combine all the ingredients and dress the salad.
