Sea Buckthorn Tea with Pear
Ingredients
- Water 15 fl oz
- Pears 2 pieces
- Sea Buckthorn 5 oz
- Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Star anise 1 piece
- Sage to taste
- Honey to taste
- Mint 3 sprigs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the sea buckthorn berries and blend part of them in a blender, leaving some whole. Then strain the puree through a sieve.
Step 2
Wash the pears. Use a vegetable peeler to remove the skin and core them. Slice one half into wedges and blend the remaining pears.
Step 3
Rinse the mint and place it at the bottom of the teapot.
Step 4
Add the pre-sliced pear wedges, whole sea buckthorn berries, and star anise to the mint.
Step 5
Combine the pear-sea buckthorn puree in the teapot, add cinnamon and sage.
Step 6
Pour boiling water over it, stir, and let it steep for 7 minutes. Add honey if desired.
