Description
The most popular Spanish cocktail — refreshes in the heat and isn’t too intoxicating. If someone isn't experiencing the heat right now, you can just practice making it.
Ingredients
- Red Grape Juice 25 fl oz
- Water 5 fl oz
- Sugar 0 oz
- Cinnamon 1 piece
- Clove 3 pieces
- Oranges 2 pieces
- Apple 1 piece
- Donut Peaches 1 piece
- Lemon 1 piece
- Brandy 5 fl oz
- Sparkling water 10 fl oz
- Ice to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and water. Place over heat and bring to a boil; once the sugar has dissolved, remove the spiced syrup from heat.
Step 2
Dice the peach.
Step 3
Slice the lemon into rings.
Step 4
Peel and finely chop 1 orange.
Step 5
Dice the apples.
Step 6
Strain the syrup through a sieve into a large mixing bowl, then add the juice of one orange.
Step 7
Add the sliced fruits to the syrup.
Step 8
Pour the wine and brandy over the fruit and stir.
Step 9
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the fruits to infuse their flavors into the wine.
Step 10
Before serving, add sparkling water and ice cubes to the sangria.
