Salad with Basil, Bacon, and Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • Avocado 1 piece
  • Tomatoes 2 pieces
  • Fresh basil leaves ⅓ cup
  • Scallions ¼ cup
  • Bacon 5 pieces
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Champagne Vinegar ¼ cup

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the tomatoes into quarters.

Step 2

Place them in a large bowl.

Step 3

Rinse the green onion, chop it, and add it to the tomatoes.

Step 4

Tear the basil leaves from the stems, chop them, and add to the tomatoes.

Step 5

Add the wine vinegar and olive oil, and mix well.

Step 6

Add salt and pepper. Chill for 20 minutes in the refrigerator.

Step 7

In a heated skillet, fry the bacon and place it on a plate.

Step 8

Slice the avocado and add the flesh to the tomatoes with basil.

Step 9

Mix thoroughly. Serve on a plate, topped with strips of bacon.
