Salad with Bacon and Pear
Salads • American
Description
If you can't find arugula at your nearest store or simply don't feel like going out for groceries, you can substitute arugula with a mixed salad or any other salad. BUT! The taste will be different. Arugula adds a piquant flavor to the salad. Cherry tomatoes can also be replaced with regular ones; here, it's less about the taste and more about the juiciness of the salad. Pine nuts to your taste.
Ingredients
- Arugula 10 oz
- Bacon 5 oz
- Pear 1 piece
- Marinated cherries 5 oz
- Parmesan Cheese to taste
- Pistachios to taste
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash and dry the arugula on a towel or a salad spinner.
Step 2
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Also, don't forget to slice the bell pepper and pear into wedges.
Step 3
Take a nice salad bowl because the salad should please not only the stomach but also the eye, and place the tomatoes on a bed of arugula.
Step 4
Now for the bacon, pears, and bell pepper. In a heated skillet, add a couple of drops of olive oil and place the bacon slices and sliced pears. Wait until the bacon is crispy and golden, and the pear becomes slightly translucent, then remove them.
Step 5
In the remaining fat, add the bell pepper and sauté until soft.
Step 6
Now layer the bacon with pears in our bowl and top with the sautéed bell pepper.
Step 7
Grate or slice the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it on top with a pinch of pine nuts.
