Description
Recipe taken from the book by John Smith 'Armenian Cuisine' (1960).
Ingredients
- Tomatoes 5 oz
- Cucumbers 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Parsley to taste
- Fresh basil leaves to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the tomatoes and cucumbers and cut them into thin slices (do not slice 2 cucumbers, leave them for later steps).
Step 2
Arrange them on a plate in alternating rows.
Step 3
Cut one cucumber into four parts and place it in the center of the salad.
Step 4
Place bell-shaped pieces made from thinly sliced cucumber on top of the cucumber pieces.
Step 5
Season the salad with salt.
Step 6
Sprinkle a little pepper into the bell shapes.
Step 7
Garnish with parsley and basil, giving the bell shapes the appearance of a small bouquet.
