Rice and Milk Nectar
Ingredients
- Carrot 5 oz
- Rice 5 oz
- Milk 0 qt
- Sugar 10 oz
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
- Saffron 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon a pinch
- Cardamom 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grate the carrot finely.
Step 2
Bring 1 liter of milk to a boil and add the rice.
Step 3
After 15–20 minutes, add half a liter of milk and the grated carrot.
Step 4
Stir and cook for 15 minutes, then add another half a liter of milk.
Step 5
After 15 minutes of cooking, add another half a liter of milk, sugar, cardamom, and saffron.
Step 6
When the sugar is completely dissolved, remove from heat.
Step 7
Serve warm or cold, optionally garnished with toasted almonds.
