Red Smoothie with Berries and Beetroot
Drinks • Serbian
Description
In soups with beetroot, everything is more or less clear: you need to sauté or simmer it, then pour in the broth and cook. But what about drinks? This question is not random: trendy cafés are now fully embracing beetroot lattes. We won't recommend combining milk foam with beetroot, as who knows what the consequences might be, but we are happy to share a recipe for a red smoothie where beetroot joins forces with pineapple and berries—providing you with a powerful dose of antioxidants, natural detox, and an appealing color. If you add a bit of granola or nuts to the smoothie, it transforms into a complete breakfast, allowing you to avoid grabbing anything unhealthy on the go until lunchtime. This is especially important in the fall and winter when fresh fruits and vegetables are scarce and we find ourselves craving sweets.
