- Red Currant 10 oz
- Sugar 0.1 cup
- Dry Champagne to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine the currants, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 15 minutes until the currants are soft, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
Strain through a sieve, pressing out all the juice. Chill.
Step 3
For one serving of the cocktail, place 2 tablespoons of red currant puree in a champagne flute and pour in the champagne. Serve immediately.
