Description

Watercress is unjustly unpopular. It has a very bright flavor and can shine in unusual combinations. This version of the Indian salad — raita, which is traditionally dressed with yogurt and cumin using watercress.

Ingredients

  • Watercress 1 bunch
  • Cherry Tomatoes 10 oz
  • Sweet Red Onion ½ head
  • Natural Yogurt 5 oz
  • Ground Cumin 1 teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the watercress into julienne strips.

Step 2

Mix halved cherry tomatoes with sliced sweet red onion petals.

Step 3

For the dressing, mix the yogurt with ground cumin, pour the yogurt over the salad, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.

Step 4

Serve with curry, poultry, or meat.
