Description
A Trinidadian cocktail, traditionally made with Demerara rum from Guyana.
Ingredients
- Bacardi Lemon Rum 0 fl oz
- Lime Juice 0 fl oz
- Gingerbread-flavored syrup 0 fl oz
- Bitter 0 fl oz
- Raw cane sugar ½ spoons
- Angostura 0 fl oz
- Absinthe 0 fl oz
- Mint to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a glass filled with crushed ice, add half of the mint and layer in the rum, lime juice, and sugar syrup. Finish with Angostura and a bittersweet bitters.
Step 2
Garnish with the remaining mint and a sugar cube soaked in absinthe (which can also be set on fire). Insert a bar spoon or straw to allow the drinker to stir the cocktail.
