Description

This salad is made according to the recommendations of writer Anna Smith from a post titled 'Actually Olivier' dated 01.01.2011.

Ingredients

  • Poultry 1 piece
  • Turnips 8 pieces
  • Farm fresh eggs 10 pieces
  • Green Peas 1 can
  • Capers 5 oz
  • Pickles 4 pieces
  • Courgette 1 piece
  • Cilantro 5 oz
  • Apple 1 piece
  • Sauerkraut 5 oz
  • 20% Sour Cream 5 oz
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 6 tablespoons
  • Sugar 2 tablespoons
  • Mayonnaise 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Boil the chicken, let it cool, remove the skin, and shred it.

Step 2

Cut the meat into cubes.

Step 3

Finely chop all other ingredients except the apple, aiming for a size similar to the peas, and mix them in a large bowl. Be sure to peel the cucumbers—both pickled and fresh.

Step 4

Peel the apple and chop it as finely as possible.

Step 5

Chop the cilantro and add it to the salad.

Step 6

Finely chop the sauerkraut and add it to the bowl with the other ingredients.

Step 7

Neutralize the acidity of the lemon juice with sugar, add sour cream, and mix well. Double the amount with mayonnaise and mix again thoroughly.

Step 8

Dress the salad with the prepared sauce.

Step 9

Let it sit in the refrigerator for about 3 hours. Serve in a salad bowl or portioned, garnished to taste.
