Description
This recipe comes from a restaurant called 'The Heritage Gathering', located in a hotel of the same name. You would actually find it in the building of the Heritage Gathering on Main Street. The salad is rich and hearty, featuring boiled beef, beef tongue, and smoked chicken. This recipe was shared with us by Emily Johnson, author of the book 'A Taste of Geography with Emily Johnson. Ingredients
- Cured beef 10 oz
- Chicken fillet 5 oz
- Beef tongue 5 oz
- Carrot 5 oz
- Pickled Cauliflower 5 oz
- Spanish onions 0 oz
- Mayonnaise 5 oz
- Mustard Greens 0 oz
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Mixed salad greens 0 oz
- Red Caviar 0 oz
- Marinated cherries 0 oz
- Parsley 0 oz
- Cucumbers 5 oz
- Salad Potatoes 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Dice the beef, chicken fillet, beef tongue, boiled potatoes, and carrots, along with the cucumbers and onion, and mix everything together.
Step 2
Dress with a sauce made of sour cream, mayonnaise, and mustard. Adjust to taste.
Step 3
To serve the Olivier salad, place it on a plate and garnish with lettuce leaves, caviar, cherry tomatoes, and a sprig of parsley.
