
Nicoise Salad with Tuna

Description
Canned beans and tuna can be used instead of fresh ingredients for the salad. There are over a hundred variations of the famous salad from Nice, and in different regions, it may include beans, rice, or potatoes.
Ingredients
- Corn Salad 1 bunch
- Chicken Egg 4 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Tomatoes 4 pieces
- Chinese green beans 10 oz
- Potato 4 pieces
- Pompano fillet 20 oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Olive Oil 2 spoons
- Anchovies 0 oz
- Pitted olives 1 can
- Meyer Lemon Juice 2 spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Boil the eggs, peel them, and carefully cut them into wedges.
Step 2
Clean and rinse the beans. Blanch in lightly salted water for 3–4 minutes. Drain in a colander, rinse with cold water, and set aside. Boil the potatoes and slice them into rounds, and slice the tomatoes into thin wedges.
Step 3
Cut the tuna fillet into slices about 1 cm thick, then into smaller pieces. Season the fish with salt and pepper, and sauté it in olive oil over medium heat for about 2 minutes. Finely chop the anchovies.
Step 4
Prepare the sauce. Combine 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and black pepper to taste.
Step 5
Arrange the lettuce leaves on individual plates, then artfully layer the remaining ingredients on top. Drizzle the prepared salad with dressing. Garnish with olives.
