Mulled wine with fruits and spices
Ingredients
- Red Grape Juice 1⅒ l
- Oranges 1 piece
- Lemon 1 piece
- Apple 1 piece
- Cinnamon 1 piece
- Clove 7 pieces
- Honey 2 spoons
- Gingerbread-flavored syrup 1 tablespoon
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Dice the oranges and lemons into small cubes for a rich flavor and enchanting aroma. Cut the apples into the same size cubes, but do not mix them with the citrus.
Step 2
Transfer the chopped oranges and lemons to a pot for making mulled wine, gently muddle them with a muddler to release their juice and the fragrant oils from the zest.
Step 3
Add the apples, sugar/honey, and spices.
Step 4
Pour everything with wine and place it on the heat.
Step 5
Bring the mulled wine to a boil and then remove from heat.
Step 6
Let the drink steep while you prepare the garnish.

Pour the sugar syrup into a saucer (spread it evenly over the surface).

In another small dish, pour in some sugar and spread it evenly across the surface.
Step 9
Invert the glass upside down, first dip the rim into a saucer with syrup, and then into a saucer with sugar. This will create a sugared rim around the edge of the glass.
Step 10
Take a round slice of lemon or orange, make a cut on one side (up to the middle), and use it to garnish the glass.
Step 11
Carefully pour the mulled wine into the glass. Serve it hot.
