Mojito with Kiwi and Basil
Ingredients
- Dark rum 5 fl oz
- Fresh basil leaves 5 stems
- Water 5 fl oz
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Lime 4 pieces
- Crushed ice to taste
- Kiwi 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the sugar syrup, bring the water to a boil, add the sugar, and simmer until fully dissolved over low heat. Boil for about 2 minutes on high heat, then remove and cool.
Step 2
In a container, slice the kiwi into medium rings, tear the basil leaves by hand, and pour in the sugar syrup. Using a muddler, gently mash (but do not turn into a puree) and mix. Add lime juice and rum. Mix again.
Step 3
Pour the resulting mixture into a shaker, add ice, and shake for 30 seconds.
Step 4
Pour into glasses.
