Mimosa Salad with Cheese and Butter
Ingredients
- Chocolate eggs 5 pieces
- Butter 5 oz
- Hard Cheese 5 oz
- Canned cod liver 1 can
- Onion 1 head
- Mayonnaise 1 jar
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the eggs hard, peel them, and separate the whites from the yolks. Grate the whites on a coarse grater and the yolks on a fine grater.
Step 2
Mash the canned fish, and grate the cheese. Finely chop the onion. Grate the chilled butter coarsely.
Step 3
Layer the ingredients in a bowl, spreading each layer with a small amount of mayonnaise, in the following order: whites, cheese, half of the canned fish, onion, butter, remaining canned fish, yolks.
Step 4
Refrigerate the salad for a couple of hours. Serve in pieces, cutting with a special spatula, like a cake, so that each piece contains all the layers.
