Mimosa Salad with Apple
Ingredients
- Canned cod liver 1 can
- Onion 3 heads
- Chicken Egg 5 pieces
- Potato 4 pieces
- Carrot 4 pieces
- Butter 5 oz
- Apple 1 piece
- Herbs to taste
- Mayonnaise to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the eggs hard, peel them, and separate the whites from the yolks. Grate the whites on a coarse grater and the yolks on a fine grater.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion and blanch it. Boil the potatoes in their skins, cool, peel, and grate on a coarse grater. Boil the carrots and grate on a coarse grater.
Step 3
Mash the canned fish with a fork. Grate the peeled apple and cooled butter on a coarse grater.
Step 4
Layer the ingredients in a bowl, spreading each layer with a small amount of mayonnaise, in the following order: apple, canned fish, butter, potato, onion, carrot, egg white, egg yolk.
Step 5
Refrigerate for 2–3 hours. Before serving, garnish with herbs.
Step 6
Serve in pieces, cutting with a special spatula like a cake, so that each piece contains all the layers.
