Mimosa Salad is delightful for its simplicity and festive appearance. It gets its name from the resemblance to mimosa flowers that have fallen onto the snow. The egg white represents the snow, while the crumbled yolks form the flowers. The salad requires mayonnaise, and making it from scratch will make it even tastier.
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 6 pieces
- Canned tuna in its own juice 1 can
- Onion 1 piece
- Butter 0 oz
- Mayonnaise 0 oz
- Hard Cheese 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Place the eggs in boiling water and cook for 7 minutes. Then, cool them in cold water.
Step 3
Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Step 4
Grate the egg whites and yolks using a coarse grater.
Step 5
Chop the onion.
Step 6
Grate the cheese using a fine grater.
Step 7
Grate the cold butter using a fine grater.
Step 8
On a flat serving dish, layer the egg whites, cheese, and half of the fish. Spread half of the mayonnaise on top.
Step 9
Then add the butter, onion, and the remaining fish.
Step 10
Spread mayonnaise again and sprinkle with egg yolks.
