Description

If you don't like a sour smoothie, stick to half a lemon. The balance of flavors also depends on the type of mango you use. If it's Brazilian green-red, you can use less lemon; if it's Thai yellow, use more.

Ingredients

  • Mango 1 piece
  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Oranges 3 pieces
  • Coconut Milk 10 fl oz
  • Buckwheat Groats 5 fl oz
  • Pears 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel the mango and remove the pit. Cut it into medium pieces.

Step 2

Juice 1 lemon and 3 oranges.

Step 3

Soak the buckwheat flakes in the juice for 10–15 minutes, then transfer them to a blender, as they expand significantly in volume.

Step 4

Depending on the type of pear you use, do the following: if the pear is very hard, it's better to juice it if possible; if it's soft, remove the core, chop it coarsely, and add it to the blender with the mango.

Step 5

Add 240 ml of coconut water and blend on high speed for about 5 minutes.

Step 6

If the smoothie is too thick, add more coconut water and blend again to reach the desired consistency.
