Low-Calorie Vegetable and Feta Sandwiches
Sandwiches • American
Description
This recipe makes a total of 4 sandwiches. That's 2 pieces per person (assuming a standard size piece of bread). You can use any type of bread. Feel free to add pesto or any other seasoning. However, I think the onion already creates a savory and unique flavor.
Ingredients
- Scallions to taste
- Feta cheese 5 oz
- Borodinsky Bread 8 slices
- Tomatoes 2 pieces
- Iceberg Lettuce 1 head
- Cucumbers 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the bread into pieces. Place them in the oven to toast for a few minutes.
Step 2
Mix the cheese (in my case, it was 'Parisian Cow' cheese) with the chopped green onion.
Step 3
Slice the cucumbers and tomatoes.
Step 4
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and spread the cheese-onion mixture on each slice.
Step 5
On every second slice, place a slice of tomato, then a slice of cucumber, a leaf of lettuce (sized to fit the sandwich), and cover with another slice of bread that is also spread with the mixture.
