Light Mimosa Salad

Ingredients

  • Canned cod liver 1 can
  • Onion 1 head
  • Mayonnaise 1 can
  • Chicken Egg 4 pieces
  • Potato 4 pieces
  • Carrot 3 pieces
  • Scallions to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Boil the potatoes and carrots, hard-boil the eggs, and let them cool.

Step 2

Mash the canned fish. Peel the eggs and separate the whites from the yolks. Finely chop the onion. Grate the remaining ingredients on a coarse grater.

Step 3

Layer the ingredients in a bowl, spreading a small amount of mayonnaise between each layer, in the following order: canned fish, onions, chopped egg whites, carrots, potatoes, and grated yolks. Top with green onions or other herbs to taste.

Step 4

Refrigerate the salad for a couple of hours. Serve it in slices, using a special spatula, just like a cake, to ensure that each piece contains all the layers.
