Lemonade with Ginger and Honey

Ingredients

  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Grated Ginger Root 0 oz
  • Fresh Mint 1 bunch
  • Honey 6 tablespoons
  • Water 15 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Rinse the mint and chop it finely. Peel the ginger and slice it into thin rounds. Squeeze the lemon juice.

Step 2

In a pot, heat the water, add the mint and ginger, bring to a boil, simmer for 3–5 minutes, and remove from heat.

Step 3

Let it sit for 10 minutes (if left too long, the ginger may impart extra bitterness), then strain into a pitcher, add the lemon juice and honey to taste, and stir. Chill in the refrigerator.
