Lemon Compote
Ingredients
- Lemon 1½ pieces
- Mint 4 stems
- Vanilla salt a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the lemons with hot water, then peel them. Cut the fruit into large pieces on a plate to keep the juice (it will be needed for the compote).
Step 2
In a suitably sized enamel container, bring water to a boil. Add sugar to the boiling water, stir, and prepare the syrup.
Step 3
Place the lemon in the syrup and pour in the juice. Cook the compote for about fifteen minutes at a gentle boil.
Step 4
Five minutes before the drink is ready, add the washed mint leaves and a pinch of vanilla to the pot.
