Japanese Style Trout Salad
Ingredients
- Trout 10 oz
- Grapefruits 2 pieces
- Orange Bell Peppers 2 pieces
- Marinated cherries 10 pieces
- Dried Nori Seaweed 2 sheets
- Ocean salt to taste
- White Pepper (whole) to taste
- Herbes de Provence to taste
- Arugula 5 oz
- Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Yakiniku sauce 2 tablespoons
- Olive Oil 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the grapefruits. Squeeze the juice from one grapefruit and cut the other into cubes after removing the membranes.
Step 2
Remove the bones from the trout, cut it into small pieces, and marinate it in grapefruit juice with herbes de Provence and salt.
Step 3
Cut the nori sheets into strips and wrap the fish pieces in them. Sauté the rolls in olive oil for 2-3 minutes, then cut them into pieces.
Step 4
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and slice the bell peppers.
Step 5
To prepare the dressing, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, and teriyaki sauce.
Step 6
Combine all the ingredients, dress the salad, season with salt, and serve on a bed of arugula.
