Italian Salad with Marinated Beef, Red Onion, and Parmesan
Ingredients
- Red Grape Juice 0 fl oz
- Veal Tenderloin 10 oz
- Dried Rosemary ½ teaspoon
- Balsamic Vinegar 0 fl oz
- Garlic 1 clove
- Olive Oil 0 fl oz
- Scallions 1 stalk
- Spanish onions 1 head
- Potato 1 piece
- Fresh basil leaves ½ cup
- Salt to taste
- Chili Flakes a pinch
- Banana Leaves to taste
- Parmesan Cheese to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the meat into small pieces and transfer to a glass bowl.
Step 2
Add the wine, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, rosemary, minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Marinate in the refrigerator for 3 hours or leave at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Preheat the grill and sear the meat for 30-60 seconds until browned. Flip and sear for another 30 seconds.
Step 4
Transfer the meat to a bowl and add finely chopped red and green onions, diced tomatoes, and basil. In another bowl, mix salt, red pepper flakes, the remaining 2 tablespoons of vinegar, and olive oil. Mix well and pour over the salad. Gently but thoroughly toss.
Step 5
Place lettuce leaves on 2 serving plates. Top with the salad and sprinkle with shaved Parmesan.
