Ingredients

  • Country Bread 4 pieces
  • Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 4 tablespoons
  • Sun-Dried Tomatoes 4 pieces
  • Melted Cheese 5 oz
  • Basil 4 tablespoons
  • Milk 1 tablespoon
  • Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the skillet. Using a 10 cm diameter cutter, cut circles from the bread. Cut the mozzarella into cubes and place them on the bread, leaving a small gap at the edges.

Step 2

Sprinkle with grated Parmesan, add sun-dried tomatoes, chopped basil, and season with pepper. Cover with the remaining bread circles. Press the edges of the bread together to form a pocket.

Step 3

Crack the eggs into a deep plate, add the milk, and season. Soak the sandwiches on both sides.

Step 4

Pour oil into the skillet, wait for it to foam, and place the sandwiches in. Fry for 2–3 minutes until golden brown, flip, and cook for another minute. Transfer the hot sandwiches to serving plates and serve.
